Fülig Jimmy is recovering in San Francisco from the adventurous journey he experienced on the luxury liner Stanley Up To Date in the pages of The Lost Cruiser. Here, at the recommendation of Dirty Fred, the prime minister of the ocean, he is asked by a navy admiral to find the André de Rémieux ocean liner, which disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The mission is not without its dangers, as even the Radzeer cruiser sent to search for it has vanished.
The steamer named Vakapád, under the command of Pirate Pepi, embarks on new adventures, compounded by the determined Fülig Jimmy as first mate, Rézgróf, Red Vaszics, Csont Muki, and the blue-bearded Mr. Wagner.
